Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Kafka Administrator with strong expertise in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate, provision, manage, and support enterprise Confluent Kafka environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Terraform-based infrastructure provisioning, Confluent Platform/Cloud administration, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD automation.
The candidate will be responsible for managing Kafka resources, implementing security controls, administering Kafka Connect connectors, and supporting IBM MQ integrations in collaboration with Mainframe teams.

- Strong hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Experience administering Apache Kafka and Confluent Platform/Confluent Cloud.
- Proficiency in Terraform-based provisioning and management of Kafka resources.
- Experience with GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipelines, and automation.
- Hands-on experience with Confluent Kafka Connect source and sink connectors.
- Experience with IBM MQ integrations, preferably involving Mainframe environments.
- Knowledge of Kafka security, including RBAC, ACLs, TLS, and service accounts.
- Experience managing Kafka clusters, topics, API keys, and Schema Registry.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and production support skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale Kafka environments.
- Experience managing both production and non-production infrastructure.
- Familiarity with Terraform modules, remote state management, and automated infrastructure deployment practices.
- Experience with Kafka platform maintenance, upgrades, monitoring, and incident resolution.
Important: This is a remote, W2-only opportunity with Cognizant. Candidates should have strong Terraform/IaC experience as their primary skill, along with relevant Confluent Kafka administration experience.

Compensation: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
